OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMary Kuss submitted her first guest blog post about two years and has been a regular ever since. Along the way we never made a formal introduction. So here it is!

Mary is a life-long avid angler.  She began fishing at age 6 and fly fishing at age 15.  She is a now-retired licensed Pennsylvania fishing guide, and has taught countless group classes and private lessons in fly fishing and fly tying over the past 35 years.  She is the founder and a member of the Delaware Valley Women’s Fly Fishing Association.  Mary continues to do occasional private instruction by appointment in fly fishing and fly tying, as well as instructional guiding on local Philadelphia area streams.

We found one of Mary’s posts, Thread Control in Fly Tying, so helpful that we reprinted it and use it as a ‘pack-in’ with our orders. You can read all of Mary’s posts-to-date here.

A belated ‘welcome’ to Mary Kuss.
