As I crested Bozeman Pass heading east for one of my favorite streams, the pale light of dawn silhouetted the mountains and hills. It was early. Sunrise wasn’t for another hour or so. The date was June 25th and my thoughts went back 139 years to 1876 and 160 miles east to the Little Bighorn River.
