Building a Better Fly Box: Tacky Fly Fishing

Tacky Fly Fishing came to be as Ki Aston and I met during research training at the University of Utah. We always enjoyed taking a break from our rigorous daily schedules to talk fly fishing. Over the years, we identified that one of the pieces of equipment we use the most, the fly box, was not on par with the entire fly fishing experience. With all of the advancements in the industry over the years, we often thought there must be a more simple, convenient, yet durable and sleek way to hold all of our flies – particularly since many of us carry hundreds, if not thousands, of dollar’s worth of flies in our packs at any given time.
